Guilty Pleasures of 2010

While this is around the time that every blog is listing their top 10 picks of the best entertainment of the year, I decided to switch it up. There were a slew of songs that just hit the spot for me but there were some songs that I am ashamed I even nodded my head to or even knew the words. A lot of these songs are just ghetto trash and super hood while others are pop corny. Even though I'm a neo soul fein, I can appreciate some gutter booty hoe type songs from time to time. I can't believe I just said that. Don't judge me...yall probably two stepped to these in your living room.

Waka Flocka ft Wale & Roscoe Dash-No Hands
First let me say, I am no fan of Waka Flacka aka Illiterate Ass. But with a name like that, what do you expect? He proved himself to be one of the dumbest rappers this year. Every radio interview he did this summer had to be the most ignorant interviews that I have heard in all my life. Oh one of my favorite responses that he gave was "oh i just act dumb but I love math". Again I had the WTF face. My coworkers got me listening to this song simply because of Wale's part. I'm two stepping now while I'm typing this. LOL. My favorite part of this song is "I be going ham, shawty upgrade from bologna".

Taio Cruz- Dynamite
I used to hear this song every morning on my way to work and no matter how bad of a morning I was having, I would just bust out in song. I have spent  many car rides fist pumping through the tunnel. Hate if you want, but this is definitely a party song.

Cali Swag District- Teach Me How to Dougie
Y'all can act brand new if you want, but everybody has tried this dumb dance at least once this year. Even BET had CNN's Wolf Blitzer doing the dougie. Who would've thonk it?!  It's one of those super catchy songs. I even had the "privelege" of seeing these clowns perform this summer. Trust it was free and it was for work. I wouldn't dare spend my money on them.

Lil Wil-Bust It Wide Open
Don't even ask me why I like this nasty song...perhaps cuz I'm nasty? Iunno. I'm going to be honest...this beat makes me go wild. That's all I will say.

Jason Derulo- Ridin Solo
As you can see I love all types of music. Sometimes when you get tired of listening to the same hip hop songs on the radio, you should  turn the dial to pop radio's top 40 and you will hear music like this. At first I hated this song but again the hook catches me every time. It's only so many times that I can hear this without chanting "I'm solo, I'm ridin solo...sooooo looo".

Roscoe Dash ft Soulja Boy- All the Way Turnt Up
I'm ashamed of myself yet again. For the longest time, I had no idea what he was saying, but I was rocking to this song doing the dougie. LOL. To be honest, this song gets the party started and I know from experience. And no I'm not a club hopper but I visit lounges from time to time. (side eye)

Travis Porter-Make It Rain
This is so funny because I'm just discovering who some of these groups are. Who knew that they were a group? Not me...thought it was just one guy. All this time that I've been  nodding my head to this tomfoolery and didn't know who I was listening to. I'm so used to the clean radio versions, that my stomach is turning as I hear the original. This song is definitely a stripper's anthem.

Katy Perry-Teenage Dream
I just love Katy Perry and this song rocks my non teenage socks! This chick can actually sing with is a rarity in the pop world today. Here's a little inside scoop...when I'm alone and I hear this song, I jump up in down like a teenager. It's the funniest thing ever!

Kesha- Tik Tok
This is definitely on my dance playlist. Kesha doesn't have a singing bone in her body but this beat grabs a hold of me. I happened to catch her performing live on some show and let's just say it was dreadful. Wii's dancing game Just Dance 1 made me like this song even more. Everytime I hear this song I see the choreography in my head.

Nicki Minaj ft Will. i. am.-  Check It Out
I'm a Will i am fan already and this beat is so Black Eyed Peas. When I first heard this song, I instantly changed the channel. Then once Nicki went on her promo frenzy performing on every late night show made to mankind, I started to pay attention. My favorite line is "dun dun dun...the sun dun..yes the sun dun..came up but we still in the dungeon". LMFAO yes all caps too. Her turrets and weird facial expressions are enough for me to tune in.
